Autumn Through My Camera Lens // 2016

November Favourites // 2016

Its finally happened. A monthly favourites post written on time!

Frank Body Sweet Cheeks Kit

I used to be the kind of person that would change up their skincare every month, but since I found this kit everything changed.

My Cold Weather Essentials

The temperature is starting to drop, the winter coats are out and England is living up to its chilly reputation.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Master Palette

Im all about those autumn shades this season.

What I'm Currently Reading

I used to love reading growing up.

Vegan Cacao and Maple Porridge

It's no secret that I have a massive sweet tooth.

Latley // #1

If you followed my old blog you will know that now and then I like to do posts like this where I talk about a few of the things I am currently loving and update you in anything interesting that has been going on. Its like a monthly favourites post, but not on schedule. Clearly I find it hard to stick to those.

Lush Halloween Collection // 2016

Lush's Halloween collection is always the one I look forward to the most.

Autumn Is Here

So, its finally autumn.

My Top Cruelty Free Mascaras

Throughout the last few years I have tried so. many. mascaras.

Pai Skincare Rosehip Oil

So I finally jumped on the bandwagon.

Kale + Green Tea Spinach Vitamins Cleanser // Youth To The People

I had seen this little green bottle pop up on my Instagram a few times and I was instantly intrigued.

Strawberry and Banana Breakfast Smoothie // Vegan

Brunch? I love brunch. Breakfast? Not so much.

I will take the extra ten minutes in bed over eating breakfast, but instantly regret it later on at work when I start getting hungry hangry with 4 hours to go until lunch. Whenever this happens I instantly crave unhealthy, high fat foods so I'm making a conscious effort to eat breakfast when I can.

Get Your Glow On (The Natural Way)

Im all about glowing skin.

Lani Skin and Haircare

Trying to find natural and ethical beauty products that actually work can sometimes be challenging. There are a lot of vegan, natural and cruelty free products on the market, but often don't really do much for you. Lani is one of the few brands I have found that tick all of the boxes.

April Favourites // 2016

I've been a little quite over the last few weeks, but I'm back in the creative swing of things with a favourites posts. I've been loving a few new products this month that I think need credit given where its due!

How Sea Salt Can Make Your Skin Beautiful

I love sea salt water. Maybe its because I was brought up by the coast, or because I spent countless holidays bathing in the ocean. Whenever I am around the ocean my skin is at its healthiest. Sea salt has amazing benefits for your hair and skin. Its packed full of minerals such as potassium, sodium, magnesium and calcium - the best thing about it? Its all natural.

Why you should register as an organ donor

I will never forget the morning of Sunday the 7th of February. We received a phone call that would change our lives forever. Hearing the news that my dad had suffered a heart attack shook me to my core, but sadly that wasn’t the end of our nightmare. The next 11 days brought a roller coaster of emotions and sleepless nights. A stroke that resulted in significant damage and a second heart attack lead to my father losing his battle and passing away in the early hours of February 17th. I lost the light of my life at 23 years old.

Frank Body

I've had a bit of a love affair with Frank for some time now. Frank is like the perfect boyfriend I never had. He loves and appreciates every inch of your skin, loves to shower with you and smells just as good as your morning coffee - just don't expect him to be bringing you breakfast in bed any time soon.

Meet Frank, the caffeine based skincare that has stolen my heart.

If you haven't heard of frank by now, then I'm guessing you probably aren't on any major social media networks. Frank has taken instagram by storm over the last year with one mission - give babes everywhere the softest, smoothest skin. Frank has a bit of a personality online, whoever is running their instagram deserves an award! Their cheeky captions and loving attitude has gained the company a huge following over the last few years.

What is Frank Body? Frank is a coffee based skincare that is all natural, vegan friendly and against animal testing. Their products are full of natural ingredients that are wonderful for the skin, and no harsh chemicals or nasties!

Why coffee? Coffee is a wonderful thing. Although I don't drink the stuff, I can appreciate its qualities. The caffeine is great for stimulating blood flow, which reduces the appearance of cellulite, but the coffee also targets psoriasis, scarring, stretch marks, acne, eczema - the list goes on and on.

I have stretch marks and psoriasis, but you probably wouldn't be able to tell since using the scrub. My stretch marks have lightened, almost to the point where you can't see them and any visible psoriasis around my hairline as completely gone! I've also noticed a huge change in the redness of my skin since using their skincare.

I'll be doing more in-depth reviews of their products over the next week, otherwise this post would be ridiculously long.

I don't know what sorcery they are putting in their products, but whatever it is - its a miracle worker.

January Favourites // 2016

Now all of the 'New Year, New Me' posts have come and gone, its time for the monthly 'favourite' posts to begin again. I decided to leave my new year's resolutions back in 2015! Last year I gave myself a huge list of goals for the year, and guess what? Im still the same unorganised, broke, girl I was when I wrote them back in 2014 (I may be happier and a little thinner now, mind)

For those of you who don't know, I only support companies that do not test on animals and I try to use products that are as natural as possible. I'm aware that some of the makeup products I use are not natural in the slightest, but they are never (to my best knowledge) tested on animals, which is something that is pretty important to me.

Frank Lip Balm and Scrub Duo // I'm one of those people who always has dry lips in the winter. All the lip balms in the world couldn't help until Frank released their Lip Balm and Lip Scrub duo. The coffee, sugar and oil based duo work in perfect harmony to give me the softest, glossiest lips going. Full of natural ingredients, completely vegan and the prettiest instagram page, what's not to love?

Hello Hair // I'm sure you've seen their posts all over instagram, but in case you haven't, Hello Hair is an aussie based, natural and vegan hydrating hair mask. I used to have extremely dry and damaged hair from over bleaching and heat styling. Luckily after ditching the blonde and embracing my natural wave, I've finally got it back into a decent condition. I have become a lover of oil masks over the years and Hello Hair has to be my favourite. Packed full of every oil you could imagine, this mask is perfect for achieving healthy, shiny looking hair.

Lush Sea Spray // I love beachy hair, and I'm pretty lucky to have a natural wave to mine. I hardly ever heat style my hair, so to help maintain my mermaid-like style I always use sea salt spray. My favourite lately has been the Lush Sea Spray, not only for the way it makes my hair look but also for the way it smells too. As soon as I'm out of the shower I spray this in my hair, brush it through and I'm good to go!

Neals Yard Rehydrating Rose Facial Oil // If anything has 'Rose' or 'Radiance' in its description, it has my heart right away. This is an organic facial oil that helps restores your skins luminosity. My skin can get slightly dry in the winter and it definitely loses its glow from the summer months so this oil is a godsend for me. It keeps my skin hydrated through the winter and it makes my skin look like its glowing from within.

Lush Eyes Right Mascara // I was slightly skeptical about this product for a long time, but I also found it rather intriguing so I finally decided to give it go, and I'm love with it. I have naturally long lashes and I have been looking for a mascara that will just darken and lengthen for a more natural appearance. This is a very gentle product and it contains wheatgrass, which is great for conditioning damaged lashes. Just be careful with this if you have watery eyes, this can run pretty easily!

The Pretty Natural

Hey there, and welcome to my little corner of the internet.

I'm a green tea drinking, plant based loving, yoga pant wearing 23 year old from the South Coast of England. I love photography, travelling, the ocean, long lie ins and yoga.

If you are interested in natural, cruelty free beauty, then The Pretty Natural is the place for you. A year ago I made the decision to only support ethical companies and start using more natural products. My skin improved so much since ditching the harsh chemicals and it feels pretty good when you go cruelty free (I like to think of it as good Karma!).

The aim for 'The Pretty Natural' is to be informative and inspirational to others. This blog will consist of product reviews, health tips, plant based food ideas and many pretty photographs.  I want to share my journey with you and discover more on the way.

Once you put your mind to it, you'll find its simple to live life pretty naturally.
